Mummy's Boys

I've mentioned before that Mum has a really fantastic blue fleecy dressing gown that Cola and I love to cuddle up on at night. Last night Solo decided to join us, completing the set of Mummy's boys! Mum says it is really inconvenient when she wants to go to the toilet!!!

Rabbit & Ribbit

When Dad got home from work, we went out into the backyard to play for a little while. Dad also took a couple of photos of a frog visitor to our garden.

Mum and Dad tell me that they have lots of frogs that come to visit. Often they get into the cat run and need to be rescued from Solo. Dad says frogs scream very loudly when Solo tries to get them. I don't blame them because I screamed very loudly when Solo attacked me when I first came to live here!

Awww Dad, come and play with me!

I had a quick game of tug-o-war...

...a fight with Rabbit...

...a quick roll on the grass...

...and a good shake!

Dad noticed there was a frog sitting in the tree!

Ribbit!

Going For A Walk

Dad has told me off for not working on my blog enough, as there are several regular visitors who are waiting for the next installment of "It's A Furry Life". So, tonight I decided I would cover a very important topic - my nightly walk.

Dad and I go for a walk every morning, and each night Mum, Dad and I go out for another one. I take my job of getting the humans fit very seriously as you can see!

Each night follows a similar routine, the humans (Mum and Dad) forget to take me for a walk and I have to remind them by looking sad, jumping around, barking and generally whinging until I get their attention and they remember to take me out.

Then, I have to tell them to put their coats on and help me with my coat and lead. I don't know what they would do without me to remind them.

Only then do we finally get to go for a walk!

First I try the sad face...

...then I try running around a bit...

...and failing that, I start barking and whining!

Excuse me Mum are you in the bedroom? Can I come in?

Woof! Hurry up and get your coat on!

Finally she has put her coat on! (oh by the way the carpet isn't stained with all my kangaroo bone chewing, it's just a plush pile that shows the footprints and looks dirty in this light!)

This is where my lead and coat are kept!

Helping Mum get my coat out of the drawer

Mum helping me to get dressed!

Next we put on my lead and harness!

Mum says I need to stay still. She says this several times while putting on my harness. As if I didn't hear her the first time!

Lets go!

Open the door!!!

20 minutes later we are back and Mum helps me off with my lead, coat...

...and harness

That was a good workout! I need a drink!

Mum puts my lead away while I head off to the bedroom.

I'm exhausted I need to lie down!

What??? Mum's coat makes a nice bed?

Reading my email!

A lovely lady I shall call "Granny J" has been writing to me via my blog. She is the mother of one of Mum and Dad's friends and has been visiting my blog and sent me an email. Dad took a few pictures to show that I really do read my emails and comments!

Reading my emails!

Oi! Stop reading my emails over my shoulder!

Rainy days and Sundays

The weather has been pretty bad the past few days, and although I have managed to get out for my regular walks in the morning and evening, they have often been cut short by the rain. Worse still is that I haven't been able to go outside to play that much.

Anyway, today is Sunday and Dad took me out for my walk between showers this morning, and we even went for a bit of an exploration around a park that I have never visited before.

In the afternoon when Mum and Dad came home from the movies they took me outside to play for a little while, and Dad decided to take some photos (actually lots of photos)!

Chillin' in my house. I think maybe Mum wants to play!

Oh ok then I'll come out and play ball!

I've got the ball...

...so come on Dad throw it!

Weeeeeeeee!!!!

Hey come back here ball!

Here I come...

... I'm faster than a speeding bullet!

Oops...which ball was it again?

Grrrr...gonna get ya Rabbit!

Rabbit threat eliminated!

I have my own supply of cat grass

So yummy!

I'm exhausted! Time to go inside now for a sleep!

The cats go to the vet!

Today the four cats went off to the vet for their needles and a general yearly checkup. I'm not due for my needles for about 9 months so I could afford to laugh at them all before they went. Solo, as usual, was very nervous and hid so that Mum and Dad couldn't find him.

Anyway the vet result was as follows:

Cola (aged 10)
In excellent health

Soda (aged 10)
Overweight, lots of tartar on her teeth but healthy

Pepsi (aged 10)
A little overweight but otherwise in good health

Solo (aged 6)
Gingivitis on his gums which will need some attention but otherwise in good health.

So it is good news to know that everyone is fine although both Soda and Solo now have to have a special biscuit to help their teeth! Not fair I want to share their biscuits!!!

I look like a poodle!

Well at 9am this morning Dad and I went to see Debbie who does my hair. She gave me a shampoo and blowdry, and trimmed my whiskers a bit. Sadly I went from being a fine specimen of Maltese maleness to a fluffed up girly poodle. I'm not sure how that happened, but I'm talking to my lawyer.

Oh Dad that isn't my best side. I look fat!

Stop calling me cute!!!

I look like a pretty little girl poodle! Not happy!!!

Enough with the camera. Stop it!

My lawyer, Pepsi is the best legal representation around. Now if only she'd stop hissing at me long enough to hear my case

Can you see Solo?

Dad and I were heading to bed last night when he snapped this cute pic of Solo peeking out through the curtains in the lounge room.!

Oh and I know I've been posting up a few pics about the cats recently so I thought I'd pop one up on the blog that Dad has just taken of me (only a couple of minutes ago). As you might be able to tell from the similarity to other pictures on this blog, I really like sleeping on top of cushions. I was watching Masterchef with Mum but it just went on for too long and I couldn't keep my eyes open!

In case you have forgotten I am off to see the groomer for a bath and a bit of tidy-up tomorrow. Does that mean I don't look tidy now??? I shall get Dad to take some pics of me when I get back to see what you all think!
