Chair Sharing

Things can be a bit difficult between the pussycats and myself, especially around dinner time when they meow and run around a lot. I make the mistake of thinking that they want me to chase them and nip their legs, but it seems that they are just trying to get Mum and Dad's attention. Sadly it often ends in me being told off by either Mum, Dad or a cat

Since I arrived back in April I have managed to sit on the sofa with Cola, and also on Mum's lap with Cola and Solo. A couple of days ago we achieved a first, I managed to share an armchair with Soda. It was a bit of a big commitment from both of us, but we just about managed it!

First we negotiated...

Then we sat together!

This silence is really awkward though!

Same Branch Different Frog!

As promised here I am! Mum, Dad and I were playing in the backyard a couple of days ago, and Dad happened to notice another frog sitting on the same branch as the frog in previous pictures. Dad said it must be the favourite place for frogs to hang out!

Oh sorry you wanted a cute picture of me? Well here it is!

I'm so sorry!

Hi everyone, I just thought I'd quickly apologise for not adding anything to my blog for over a week. Dad has been working in another store than his usual one, and as a result hasn't had the chance to help me out with my photography and uploading photos to my blog. So he has promised to help me over the weekend.

I've also heard that Mum and Dad will be heading away on holiday in a couple of weeks, and that we are getting a babysitter (a friend of Mum's) for two weeks. We haven't met her yet. Lets hope she doesn't mind a little furry body snuggling next to her while she sleeps!

Topsy (the dog who lived her before me) went to stay with this lady when Mum and Dad went on holiday a couple of years ago, and according to Cola, Topsy said that she really enjoyed herself. That time the cats went to stay in a five star feline hotel, but this time we are all getting a live-in babysitter. I hope she knows what she is getting herself in for!

Cats in silly places

Further to my Cola in boxes post I thought I'd put up a few old photos of the cats in silly places, often boxes of course. These are old photos that I found on Mum and Dad's computer, but they are just too cute not to share!

Very old photo from maybe 5 or 6 years ago. Cola in the craft box!

Cola in the magazine rack!

Cola tried to raid the bin but he kind of got a little stuck!

Cola in the kitchen sink!

Cola/Coke

Cola in the CD drawer

Soda thinks she is a book. Not that silly but then Soda doesn't really do silly things!

Hmm...this looks like a nice spot

A Pepsi-sized box

Pepsi to the max

I couldn't find any funny pictures of Solo so this is the silliest one. He didn't really fit under the spare bed!

Cola & the blue box

Here's some photos of Cola sitting in a blue box in the study. This box is used for all the paperwork that needs to be filed and sits on top of the filing cabinet. It also makes a great cat bed!

Arrrgggghhh!!! The paw of death!

Oh it is only Cola (attached to the Paw of Death!)

Awww...cute...

...but kind of evil!

Cola in another kind of box!

ZZZZZZZZZZ!!!

Yesterday when Dad was home from work on his RDO he cleaned the house, and part of that was to wash the bed sheets. So of course, as you will see in the pictures below, there were a big pile of blankets that looked so very inviting for a little doggy wanting a snooze. I was only going to have a quick nap but it was just soooooo comfortable that I stayed there for ages!

Can you see me?

Yep there I am!

This morning while I was still sleeping (on Mum and Dad's bed) Dad took a picture of me with his mobile phone camera. How embarrassing!!!

Snoozing on my back between Dad (under blue blanket) and Mum (under the green flowery one!)

Because Dad took the picture with the camera on his mobile phone, he also downloaded some other pictures he had on there too. So he offered me these to add onto the blog!

Sister snuggle! An ultra rare cuddle between twins Pepsi and Soda.

A picture of me from 2½ months ago. I look so young!!!

Mummy's Boys

I've mentioned before that Mum has a really fantastic blue fleecy dressing gown that Cola and I love to cuddle up on at night. Last night Solo decided to join us, completing the set of Mummy's boys! Mum says it is really inconvenient when she wants to go to the toilet!!!

Rabbit & Ribbit

When Dad got home from work, we went out into the backyard to play for a little while. Dad also took a couple of photos of a frog visitor to our garden.

Mum and Dad tell me that they have lots of frogs that come to visit. Often they get into the cat run and need to be rescued from Solo. Dad says frogs scream very loudly when Solo tries to get them. I don't blame them because I screamed very loudly when Solo attacked me when I first came to live here!

Awww Dad, come and play with me!

I had a quick game of tug-o-war...

...a fight with Rabbit...

...a quick roll on the grass...

...and a good shake!

Dad noticed there was a frog sitting in the tree!

Ribbit!

Going For A Walk

Dad has told me off for not working on my blog enough, as there are several regular visitors who are waiting for the next installment of "It's A Furry Life". So, tonight I decided I would cover a very important topic - my nightly walk.

Dad and I go for a walk every morning, and each night Mum, Dad and I go out for another one. I take my job of getting the humans fit very seriously as you can see!

Each night follows a similar routine, the humans (Mum and Dad) forget to take me for a walk and I have to remind them by looking sad, jumping around, barking and generally whinging until I get their attention and they remember to take me out.

Then, I have to tell them to put their coats on and help me with my coat and lead. I don't know what they would do without me to remind them.

Only then do we finally get to go for a walk!

First I try the sad face...

...then I try running around a bit...

...and failing that, I start barking and whining!

Excuse me Mum are you in the bedroom? Can I come in?

Woof! Hurry up and get your coat on!

Finally she has put her coat on! (oh by the way the carpet isn't stained with all my kangaroo bone chewing, it's just a plush pile that shows the footprints and looks dirty in this light!)

This is where my lead and coat are kept!

Helping Mum get my coat out of the drawer

Mum helping me to get dressed!

Next we put on my lead and harness!

Mum says I need to stay still. She says this several times while putting on my harness. As if I didn't hear her the first time!

Lets go!

Open the door!!!

20 minutes later we are back and Mum helps me off with my lead, coat...

...and harness

That was a good workout! I need a drink!

Mum puts my lead away while I head off to the bedroom.

I'm exhausted I need to lie down!

What??? Mum's coat makes a nice bed?
