Booked in for a bath

Just a quick note tonight to let you know that Dad has booked me in for a bath and a bit of a trim around my face on Friday. Personally I think I'm starting to smell just right, but everyone else seems to disagree!

Dad says my face is looking really scruffy...

...and my paws are looking really dirty!

Pussycat Pics

Last night while Mum was having a shower and Dad was on the computer (and we were all waiting for dinner) I decided to take a few photos of the cats to add to my blog. I tried to get Soda to take a photo of me but I had a few problems teaching her how to use the camera.

Solo, Soda and Pepsi have each found themselves a comfortable spot!

A close up of Solo

Soda re-living her glory days when she was on TV (Soda once featured on a TV show called "The Garden Gurus")

Pepsi demanding a pat!

Cola waiting near the kitchen for dinner!

Solo looks snug!

What are you looking at Solo?

Oh you are looking at Soda up on the scratching post!

Solo looking for Cola (Cola was in the bathroom at the time)

There you are Daddy! *kiss* (Cola raised Solo when Solo was a feral kitten - I think Solo has grown up to be one large kitten!)

Hey Solo what are you licking?

Oi! That's my kangaroo bone. Keep your paws off it!

Soda didn't do a very good job of taking a photo of me!

Solo

Firstly let me apologise to all the regular readers of this blog (both of you!) for not writing anything for the past couple of days. Mum and Dad have been really busy and as a result haven't been available to take photos for me. So, in the end I decided to take a photo myself of Solo.

Can you see Solo?

Here is a zoomed in view!

Now I really like Solo but he doesn't actually like me very much. This morning while Dad was getting ready to take me out for a walk I had a disagreement with Solo in the laundry. Actually I was in the laundry wanting to go out into the cat run and Solo was in the cat run wanting to come inside. Sadly Solo wasn't too impressed by this and I got a bit beaten up. I screamed very loudly so that both Mum and Dad came running to rescue me! Thankfully I wasn't hurt but it certainly got their attention.

The laundry and cat door where Solo and I had our argument this morning!

Presciption Diet :-(

I haven't posted about this before because it is a little bit embarrassing, but here goes. About a month ago Mum and Dad were a bit concerned about my itchy skin and the fact that I was chewing at myself and pulling out some fur. They took me to the vet who said I had to go on a 10 week detox diet to see if I was allergic to any foods. He also gave me some tablets to help as well.

So, rather than having my Tucker Time roll every night and a range of dried biscuits and snacks, I am now limited to eating Kangaroo, Sweet Potato and the Hills Prescription Diet. The thing I miss most though is having my pet milk every night. The cats still get to have their pet milk but I miss out and this makes me sad :-(

Boring biscuits

Did they taste test this stuff? (Ok so I eat it anyway!)

Dinner for 5. Mine is the big bowl on the right. Notice the absence of pet milk in the other half of my dish! Each cat gets a different amount of food due to advice from the vet. Soda (brown dish) gets the least, Pepsi (blue dish) gets kitten food to help her gain weight, Cola (silver dish) gets a larger serve of regular food, and Solo (red dish) just gets a regular amount. Confusing!!!

I can also have Kangaroo snacks as long as they don't have any preservatives

I used to get lamb bones but now I am on my detox I can't have beef or lamb so now I have kangaroo

The vet gave us some paperwork that said I can have Sweet Potato, so Dad bought these. Cola seems to want them though!

Soda and I Discuss The Economic Crisis

Everyone always makes comments that Soda and I are "a little bit blonde". I'm not sure what that really means as I'd say I'm more champagne and Soda is more of a brown tabby, but the humans seem to find it funny.

I suspect that everyone thinks that Soda and I aren't very intellectual. Although we might not be plotting to take over the world or raid the pantry (although that bird seed I ate a couple of days ago was really yummy), we still like to keep up with current affairs and the state of the global economy.

I take an active interest in kanagroo bone futures, while Soda is always checking the price of her Whiskas and Go-Kat shares.

Soda and I like to watch the news to keep up with the latest in world events

Afterwards we discuss each topic in detail

Wow she makes some really good points!

Sleeping, Walking and Bone Eating

Hey get that camera out of my face!

The weather has been pretty bad the past couple of days, and there hasn't been a lot for a little doggy to do. Dad and I have tried to get out for our walks but they have had to be short ones as the rain keeps interrupting them. Yesterday morning we only walked for about 10 minutes as we had to wait for the rain to stop and then Dad had to rush off to work.

This morning Mum, Dad and I all went out but it started to rain quite heavily and we had to cut across the school oval and head home. I got a bit wet and had to be dried off with a big fluffy yellow towel. Mum and Dad then insisted on taking photos of me - so embarrassing!

So hard to find things to do on rainy days, can't have long walks, can't go outside to play, and can't even enjoy a sniff around the backyard. Boring!!!

I have spent the past couple of days just lazing around, eating bones and sleeping. Oh and while Mum and Dad went out for lunch, I stayed in their bedroom and watched a bit of the rugby.

I got a little bit wet!

I'm not sure if this is the best way to eat a bone but it works!

Cola and I sleeping on the sofa. Cola thought Mum's jacket made a nice bed! Personally I prefer a stack of soft cushions!

A Good Place To Sleep!

Dad cleaned the house today while he was home from work on an RDO. I went into the bedroom to get away from the noisy vacuum cleaner, and found a really cool place to sleep. Dad wasn't too impressed when he came in and saw me in his pile of clean washing though!
